Canadian Tourism The Great Land To The North
There are a lot of countries in this world. some we know a lot about and others we don’t. Generally we know more about countries that are powerful in the world or have a history intertwined with our own. We are also likely to know more about countries that are near where we live, but how many Americans can say that they know a lot about Canada?
Canada is an enormous country and it shares a very extensive border with the United States. You would think we would know a lot about this neighbor of ours, but many of us don’t. Part of this is because we need to hop over the border and visit this beautiful country.
Canada is about more than maple syrup. It’s more than just a country with a cold climate. It is the second largest country in the world, and holds a vast trove of treasures waiting to be explored by people like you. There are many beautiful cities you can visit, but nature also serves up an enormous helping of things to see and do that will amaze you.
With its many provinces and territories, there is no way you can see a good portion of the country if you are thinking about Canadian tourism. You simply have to choose a few places to see and make the most of the area you are in and your time and travel constraints.
Canada has many historic sites that are a major tourist attraction year round. Museums, and many historical building and other sites are scattered throughout the country, in every major city and also many small cities as well as out on their own. You can get a great feel for Canada’s history as a country by visiting some of these places.
Some of the places that are very commonly visited are natural tourist sites. With the country being as enormous as it is the geography is simply so diverse that you can find everything there. In the South the climate is more temperate, but the farther north you go you can experience some frigid temperatures and have some great adventures in the snow.
You can visit and climb glaciers, ride a sled behind a pack of dogs and even go whale watching. You can do these things winter and summer, too! There are arctic adventures for anyone looking for a very cool vacation.
In the Rocky Mountain area you can take a hike up the historic mountains. You will have a chance to see beautiful wild life here and in other nature parks and national parks. Boating, kayaking, and other water sports can be enjoyed as well as hiking and rock climbing.
Take some time to get to know our neighboring country by getting involved in some Canadian tourism. See what the great country to the north has to offer all who visit!
